Wow! I feel really blessed that I was so lucky to meet Yun. He really loves bikes and spend more than 6 hours fixing each part of mine! He really takes care while working on it as if it was his own bike. Amazing! 😍🚲 And if you're planning to go to Myanmar, he knows everything! Don't miss him! He's a LEGEND of touring bikes. 💪🏼 Just be careful not to pass by, the bike shop it's behind another shop, so you have to ask. Thank you for everything, Yun! Awesome Experience, the people in the front shop where very nice, Yun was very nice and knowledgable about bikes and different routes one can take around south east Asia. this is a one stop shop for anyone needing mechanical, or any other general touring help or info, highly recomend.

Yun is awesome and knows so much about cycle touring and done many impressive trips himself. He adjusted my disc brakes, but also shared a lot of his experience with cycle touring and gave me suggestions for my route northwards. He also showed me YouTube videos he made from his cycle tours. Inspirational! Store also has great quality products. I got a tyre removal tool from Park tools there. If you are in Mae Sot be sure to visit Yun and his store! Thanks again.

Needed my gears adjusted and a fellow cycle tourist as well as a shop I had dealt with in Bangkok recommended Bike Signature. Yun, the owner was incredible. He serviced the bike and went out of his way to help us. Very satisfied. He does like to be thorough and if you’re looking for a quick in and out, you might get frustrated. Also don’t be fooled by the shop. His workshop is on the second floor and he has everything from Rohloff hubs to Brooks saddles.

Fixed a damaged screw (nut?) immediately with a flex. Has a shop in the second floor with some high-end bicycle parts, including German Ortlieb racks and bags, solid mirrors and other seemingly durable stuff better than the Chinese junk from most local and online shops. Also sells a few strong touring bicycles differing greatly from the bicycles you see for sale in provincial street level shops. As described before, he is not easy to find. The location on Google Maps is correct, but from the road you only see a big shop with household goods (double check with the photos shown here; on OSM a shop with that name is somewhere else). In the household shop you have to ask for him, maybe show his picture from GMaps. He likes to work in the shop's backyard, and his depot with the delectable European parts is upstairs. He is a passionate long distance bicyclist and has pictures, videos and stories from Myanmar, India etc. Speaks some English. Obviously he has already serviced many long-distance bicyclists passing through Mae Sord. Thanks again for immediate help! Before visiting Bike Signature, a repair from the streetside bicycle service at Wat Chumphon Khiri kept my bicycle orderly for about 30 minutes only. Then the repair from Bike Signature was good for about 3 days. Then I needed to try something else and went to Bike Andaman, where they were very indignant about my supposedly cheapo bicycle. So they sent me to BB Bike, which may have been a joke because BB Bike was friendly, but deals mostly with motorcycles. BB Bike sent me to the bicycle store next door, where, to get rid of me quick, they sent me to ร้าน บุญชูไบค์. There a very friendly mechanic who speaks Myanmar only, and no word of Thai or English, used other tools than the other shops and fixed my bike for the time being.

I met Yun long before he open the shop and was already a great mechanic. Beside having all the bike blings he also very well know how to use and fix them. If you bike through Maesod and don't stop by you're missing out on a local bike touring legend!

To be honest, we can’t really find the words to describe how grateful we are to have met Yun and his family!!! If you are looking for THE expert in terms of bycicle touring material or myanmar route tips „Yun" is the man!Besides that, he is the kindest person you can imagine with a great bunch of ironic humour! 😄 Don‘t miss him!
