Cannot say enough good things about Mr. Mechanic and our rental with them! It was a straightforward process, very transparent, and very easy. And, unlike other reviewers from the past, I had a very supportive experience with them when I broke a part on one of the bikes. Read below. About the bikes: The bikes were in great condition! My boyfriend and I wanted to take a 3 day ride in the mountains past Chiang Rai, so we were looking for bigger CC scooters. Mr Mechanic had two Forza 350s that were perfect!! They had a few scratches from previous riders, but all in all, in great shape. You take photos of the bikes before you rent them, as does Mr Mechanic, so everyone is on the same page. The insurance: very worth it for 100baht per day. The broken part: I accidentally locked the keys in the compartment (to the left of the handlebars on the Forza) at the top of Doi MaeSalong at sunrise. We had to force the compartment open to get the keys, breaking the compartment. When we returned it, Mr. Mechanic himself looked up the cost of the part: they could get it and it wasn’t expensive. He only charged me for the part, which was much less than I was expecting. He also sent us off with kind words of caution as we started our ride: that the riding here in Thailand is so different than other places in the world, and the hardest part of his job is making phone calls to family members when someone has had an accident on one of his bikes. He was genuine in his heartache and concern. I will absolutely rent from him again next time I’m in Chiang Mai.

Rented a scooter feom here and had no problems. Despite some of the negative reviews I had no such issue. I rented a Honda Click 150 for one week to ride to Pai and explore. The bike was in great condition, no damage and everything worked perfect. Brakes were really sharp and the owner adjsuted them for me before riding off to make sure they were more responsive for the steep mountian roads. The key thing is to try before renting, maybe not all scooters are treated equal. I covered 600kms on the bike and didn't have a single issue. When I returmed the bike they checked over it and i had no problems getting the full deposit back. Josh who I dealt with was super friendly and honest. Even seemed to acre about my safety and make sure i was comfortable with the bike before riding off, which I can't say about other rental places. My advice is to always video the bike first as any issues with damage and deposits can be solved by proving exisiting. Yes it maybe isnt the cheapest rental place in Chinag Mai but it does the job. I would use these again and reccomend to others looking for a scooter.

My boyfriend and I rented a scooter for 1 day. We paid 500 baht for a stronger motorcycle with a 4000 baht deposit insted of passports. The bike was great and the staff was nice and informed us about everything. It climbed mount Doi Suthep with no problem. Take pictures of the bike before you take it just in case. I reccomend!

Quick and easy moped rental next to the hotel - friendly staff; could definitely use more helmet variation. The helmets were all too big… and I have a large head. They ended up giving me a helmet from the back. Overall good experience!

Rented a Honda CB150 do 10 days. Bike was in good condition and the rental process was very easy and hassle free. Recommend!!

Scooter gehuurd. Gereden. Ingeleverd met volle tank. Exact wat je verwacht. Scooter was ook gewoon goed. Met uitleg over gebruik. Geen gedoe tijdens inleveren. Het is of paspoort inleveren of kopie van paspoort met 3000 bht borg.
